My name is Linda Vicknair. I have a BS in Psychology; an MS in Human Resources Education and I am certified teacher in Arts and Business Education. I am a lover of God and His creation. I am the Public Relations Manager and Art & Music teacher for 1st – 8th grades at a private Christian School. I am passionate about the arts and believe they are a necessary part of education. I am also the school event photographer, news reporter and the Yearbook Editor and – I absolutely love taking pictures!
I am the proud mother of five amazing children! I was a single mom of five for four years, starting when my youngest was 8 mos and my oldest was 12. I never thought that God would bring me a man that would take all of us, and raise my children as his own. My husband is my rock, my encourager, and he always brings a smile to my face. I could not be where I am today without him.
There have been many difficulties, trials and tribulations in my life, but through all of it I so often ask God why He chooses to bless me! I have learned to be grateful for all that I have, whether it’s barely enough to get by and pay the bills (sometimes not even then) and also when there is an abundance. I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior for His faithfulness to me and my family. All that I am, or ever will be, is because of Him.
I have always been fascinated by the way light affects the way we see the world. As an artist, natural light has always been my favorite. Seeing the rays of sun shine down, the reflection on water, light on the leaves of a tree so that each leaf depicts a different hue.
In art, value refers to the lightness and darkness of a hue. Light and value work together. In the spiritual world, light and value take on a different meaning. Light only comes from Christ – He is the Light. The only way to see in our dark world is looking to Him. Value, or worth, is only found in Him. Acknowledging that He alone is Creator, that He gave His life for me, communicates that He considers me one of great value. In a world that supports the insignificance human life, this realization is life changing. Light & Value is my way of bringing both views together!
